Streamline Your Health
Nutrition & Recipes
Abs really are made in the kitchen. Meal planning and prepping used to freak me out, so I know what you are thinking. I take the approach to better nutrition in baby steps to help you be successful long term.
My journey started by committing to the infamous 90 day at-home workout program, P90X®. I know one of the many programs my company has will help you get started on your journey, too.
My main goal for you, whether you're visiting my page for one minute or stay on your journey with me for life, is to develop your self love. Self love is so important, especially for former competitive athletes and teachers that care a lot about their jobs.
Mental health is just as important, if not more important, than physical health. It’s the reason I invested in a life coach as well as a therapist in my late 20s. Follow my journey and join my team to get this same support and guidance on your mental health journey as well.
It's hard to start new goals alone, especially workout and nutrition goals. I needed my husband, Cody, as my accountability partner when I first started my journey. If you don't have a spouse or friend to rely on, that's what me and my team are here for.
Hope, Emily S., Abbey, Emily J., Haley, and Meg are just a few names you'll come to know as your best friends and mentors. I KNOW your name belongs on this list someday!

Don’t complicate things
Don’t have time to cook complicated recipes?.Me neither! Over here at the Husak household, we keep things simple and easy. I might be a stay-at-home mom but I have never liked cooking for a long time. If we do, it’s something that can be left in the crock pot, on the stove, or in the oven without me paying attention to it..Some tips for easy, fast, healthy cooking:.✅ frozen veggies are your friend, especially the ones you can steam in the bag in the microwave! Cody and I always split one of these for dinner. Cody likes his plain and I just add a little butter, salt, & pepper to mine.✅ use that crockpot thats collecting dust! Start small with something easy like roast beef.✅ meal prep your breakfasts for the week – I’ve been meaning to do this for my morning oatmeal I have with my eggs because making eggs and oatmeal every morning is a bit much 😆✅ always make more than you need for dinner – save leftovers for lunches or dinner later in the week✅ get a lot of a meat you can use multiple ways, cook it all at once, then separate in containers to […]
I’m often scared to share my journey. . I feel this way because, honestly, all of this does feel easy. Transitioning into motherhood was tough schedule-wise because I felt I was working around Michael’s schedule, but I have still been able to continue my health & fitness journey without skipping a beat once he came into our world ((of course after waiting for the ok to workout 6 weeks postpartum)). A workout might happen at 10 AM or not until 1 PM, but I just get it done. . I worry you’re thinking “oh she has it easy because she’s a stay-at-home mom….she has her husband to help watch her babe sometimes…she used to be a gymnast so she naturally likes working out…” . It’s funny I continue to battle these stories in my head about what people think of me, even though I’ve been working on my mindset for years now! When this happens, I remember the truths about these false statements: . ✅ other’s opinions of me doesn’t matter ✅ it’s not easy being a stay-at-home mom ✅ Cody really can only watch Michael when I workout on the weekends because he sleeps during the day since he works during the […]
Stop being a victim
One thing Michael is teaching me to keep in check as I love on him as he grows, is not playing the victim mentality. Ever since we found out he had a clubfoot at our 20 week ultrasound, I didn’t bat an eye. I didn’t even know what clubfoot was, but I knew we would get through whatever challenges that came with it and we would teach him to thrive despite any limitations it might give him. I want to teach him to never become a victim of his own thoughts or circumstances, but instead to be proactive and positive with what happens to him in his life..I know I played the victim card a lot when I first started teaching. I thought I wasn’t a good teacher because I felt my classroom management was terrible. I thought it was terrible because I was a bad teacher. And that’s all I did about that. Sure I tried new things but I still kept staying in this cycle of being so upset about having a class that felt out of control. I became a victim to my own thoughts and never once thought differently about the situation..Once I started thinking “most […]
I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I was worried about how mine and Cody’s relationship might change, if at all, when Michael came into our world..It was probably about a week before Michael came earth side, where I was lying in bed crying about missing things I THOUGHT I wouldn’t have with just Cody anymore..But of course Cody has shown nothing short of the utmost love and support for our relationship once our son was born. I have fallen MORE in love with this man somehow..He stays up late with Michael at night when he’s restless and lets me go to bed early to get more sleep. He’ll take Michael after a feeding and tell me “go do something for awhile and I’ll take care of him.” He cooks dinner, gives Michael baths & a post bath dance party, goes grocery shopping, does laundry, and makes me feel beautiful in my postpartum body..I’m not sure what I was so worried about 🙃
Flashback to Thanksgiving 🦃 last year when we announced to all of our family that we were expecting!.As the holidays start rolling in ((Halloween 👻, Thanksgiving 🦃, Christmas 🎄 , then New Years 🎉)) it is also the time I continue to hear excuses from y’all about starting your health & fitness journey. Just giving it to ya straight 🙌🏻. Before this it was “school is starting…I’m stressed and busy…” and before that it was “I’m just gonna enjoy my summer.”.There is no time better than the present to start my friend. There’s always going to be an excuse to not do something ((that’s fear speaking to you btw)). Start small or start big, but if you’re unhappy and unsure of where to start, please message me. I’m always here for you ❤️ and will never judge you. Whether you want me as your coach or not, I’d love to at least give you some tips to get started. I started my own journey in the busiest time of the year – during these holidays. So I KNOW how to prepare you and what you’ll be going through..My coaching is still $20 off until the end of the month! Drop […]
I never felt like I fully fit in, until now..Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had great friends through the years. But being an introvert plus the death of my father when I was younger really closed me off emotionally from others. I think my whole life I was scared to let people in. I was scared for them to see the hurt I’ve been through. And I didn’t want to reveal the hurt I had been through, either. I didn’t think people would like to see that “ugly” side of me ((even though it’s not ugly, it’s a part of my beautiful story)). So I played it safe..But I also had this yearning inside of me to prove to people that you can work hard, be positive, and be successful, even though you go through hardships. I didn’t know how I was going to do it except to lead by example. But it can be lonely doing this – it was hard for me to find people like me. Who wanted to inspire and lead others. Who wanted to find better ways to do things instead of just complain all of the time and not do anything about..This tribe. My […]
Arlene has been the best coach/mentor I could ask for! For almost a year I’ve learned so much from her in order to change my lifestyle and become a much healthier and happier person. She is SO inspirational and keeps me motivated to make the best decisions for me on even my craziest and most stressful days. I’m incredibly thankful to have her as a coach and friend along this journey!
Arlene is the most supportive and compassionate person that I know- which makes her an amazingly inspirational coach! She is not afraid to share and is always there to listen. Arlene not only helped me physically, but has been a support for me emotionally as well. I feel lucky to call her a friend.
Arlene is absolutely amazing. She is super supportive, so encouraging, and walks with you through your journey. Her positive attitude draws you in and makes you feel super comfortable. I was able to finally finish and entire workout program, while being encouraged by her, for the first time ever. Thank you Arlene for you time,.effort, support, love, and encouragement
It’s been fun connecting with Arlene over the past year through health and fitness. We have known each other since… middle school I think? Arlene is a great support and accountability partner. She is willing to work with you on your specific goals and meet you where you’re at on your own fitness journey. The support of her group has helped me stick with my plans to achieve my goals!
I love Arlene and how incredibly supportive she is! I have been looking for some serious accountability for a while during my fitness journey, and it’s been so hard to find! But she reached out to me and has not given up on me (even when I’m seriously slacking). She always so good about reaching out to simply see how life is going. She interested in just more than tracking my workouts, she’s into the personal side as well!
