Streamline Your Health
Nutrition & Recipes
Abs really are made in the kitchen. Meal planning and prepping used to freak me out, so I know what you are thinking. I take the approach to better nutrition in baby steps to help you be successful long term.
Fitness
My journey started by committing to the infamous 90 day at-home workout program, P90X®. I know one of the many programs my company has will help you get started on your journey, too.
Self Love
My main goal for you, whether you're visiting my page for one minute or stay on your journey with me for life, is to develop your self love. Self love is so important, especially for former competitive athletes and teachers that care a lot about their jobs.
Mental Wellness
Mental health is just as important, if not more important, than physical health. It’s the reason I invested in a life coach as well as a therapist in my late 20s. Follow my journey and join my team to get this same support and guidance on your mental health journey as well.
Personal Coaching
It's hard to start new goals alone, especially workout and nutrition goals. I needed my husband, Cody, as my accountability partner when I first started my journey. If you don't have a spouse or friend to rely on, that's what me and my team are here for.
Uplifting Community
Hope, Emily S., Abbey, Emily J., Haley, and Meg are just a few names you'll come to know as your best friends and mentors. I KNOW your name belongs on this list someday!

“It takes just as much energy to doubt as it does to believe.”
I doubt you’ll read the rest of this post. 😂 just kidding!.I was picking at my nails, sweating, breathing heavy, and had a tight chest before my personal trainer certification test last Saturday. I would doubt myself one minute, but then remember my positive self talk I’ve learned over the years as a virtual coach the next. I was a roller coaster of emotions..Whether I passed or failed, I knew I’d much prefer to have believed in myself than to doubt myself the whole time beforehand. And don’t get me wrong, this is SO hard to do if you’re so used to doubting yourself..This is still something I need to work on in certain areas of my life now. And I’ve been a virtual coach for almost 4 years!! What I love about being a coach on this team and in this community is that we are all a work in progress – always. We can always improve and learn. Because no one is perfect!!.Where do you doubt yourself the most? Let’s have a conversation! I love chatting about mental health and growth 😊⬇️

Beautifully flawed
What are your thoughts on the body positivity movement?.Back when I was fresh out of college (7 years ago now yikes!) I got laser hair removal on my arms and mustache. Before that I used to bleach my arm hair it was so dark and long. I was ALWAYS self conscious about my arm hair once I realized in middle school how gnarly it was. Before I knew about bleaching my hair I shaved my arms..I never think about my arm hair anymore (cause I don’t have any ha!), so I am so glad I got laser hair removal there. Now I’m not saying procedures are the way to go to make you feel better – body positivity comes from the INSIDE – ESPECIALLY ON THINGS YOU CANNOT CHANGE ABOUT YOUR BODY..My saggy mom tummy. My C-section scar and shelf. The stretch marks. The cherry angiomas. The keratosis Polaris on the back of my upper arms. My pale skin..You were beautifully and wonderfully made by God, flaws and all. Honestly, I bet no one noticed what you think are tour flaws because they’re too busy worried about themselves!.Remember what you can control, momma. If something on your body cannot change, […]

How to be more happy
Life will always be 50% hard and 50% absolutely wonderful..I hear this often from the Life Coach School podcast with Brooke Castillo. And it’s so true! For all of us! Yes, even Beyoncé. Yes, even for my sweet Michael..The only difference between the old me and the new me is how I react to the hard half of life. I used to wallow in my pains. I used to hide my crying and didn’t reach out for help when I needed to, thinking “I’m fine…I can do this on my own…it’s really not that bad it could be worse…”.How did I get to this place of happiness? A few tips that might help you that have helped me with my mindset work the past 4 years:.➡️ Talk to someone who loves and trusts you about what your struggling with, even if you feel silly about it. If you don’t have anyone, my DM is open. 📩➡️ Let yourself cry it out, but then remember the facts of the situation. Are you really to blame? Did you do the best you could in the situation? Is it even in your control what happened?➡️ Seek professional help from a therapist or counselor […]

How I really felt before having a baby
I was scared of how my life would change once Michael was born..I was going to miss life just being Cody, Sonny, and myself. I was super excited when I found out I was pregnant because it was planned, but towards the end of my pregnancy, I was also mourning what our current life was like. I remember getting teary-eyed a couple of nights, laying on my pillow before falling asleep, just thinking about how different everything would be once a baby came: eating dinner, going to bed, sleeping, EVERYTHING! I was afraid the change might not be good..But change can be good. Well, really it all depends on how you define change. I guess you could also view change as bad. I think change is good though because God will always be there with you while you go through anything. God is always providing for you, too, whether you realize it now or not. And my goodness was this change of having Michael in our lives GOOD!!!.For my mommas out there: were you also scared of how your life would change once baby came?

Emotions
Do you hide your emotions behind closed doors as a teacher?.You quietly cry yourself to sleep because you’re overwhelmed with teaching.Or you cry in your car on the way home, hoping no one driving by sees you.Don’t you wish you weren’t so anxious about it all anymore!?.Imagine being able to not take what happens to you in your classroom so personally.Imagine being able to not bring work home ever again.Imagine being able to “turn it off” when you are home..This is exactly why I created my Take Control of Your Life in 2021 Launch Group, so you’ll get me as your coach to help you through these struggles and have a positive escape from your (important!) but taxing job. Because I’ve BEEN THERE and I know exactly what you’re going through..I have helped a handful of teachers with my coaching and community groups since I started coaching 3.5 years ago..You wonder if teaching will ever get better – it already is! You are an amazing teacher! You just need to start taking care of yourself ❤️ so apply to my January group using that link in my bio!
Success Stories
Arlene has been the best coach/mentor I could ask for! For almost a year I’ve learned so much from her in order to change my lifestyle and become a much healthier and happier person. She is SO inspirational and keeps me motivated to make the best decisions for me on even my craziest and most stressful days. I’m incredibly thankful to have her as a coach and friend along this journey!
Arlene is the most supportive and compassionate person that I know- which makes her an amazingly inspirational coach! She is not afraid to share and is always there to listen. Arlene not only helped me physically, but has been a support for me emotionally as well. I feel lucky to call her a friend.
Arlene is absolutely amazing. She is super supportive, so encouraging, and walks with you through your journey. Her positive attitude draws you in and makes you feel super comfortable. I was able to finally finish and entire workout program, while being encouraged by her, for the first time ever. Thank you Arlene for you time,.effort, support, love, and encouragement
It’s been fun connecting with Arlene over the past year through health and fitness. We have known each other since… middle school I think? Arlene is a great support and accountability partner. She is willing to work with you on your specific goals and meet you where you’re at on your own fitness journey. The support of her group has helped me stick with my plans to achieve my goals!
I love Arlene and how incredibly supportive she is! I have been looking for some serious accountability for a while during my fitness journey, and it’s been so hard to find! But she reached out to me and has not given up on me (even when I’m seriously slacking). She always so good about reaching out to simply see how life is going. She interested in just more than tracking my workouts, she’s into the personal side as well!
