Abs really are made in the kitchen. Meal planning and prepping used to freak me out, so I know what you are thinking. I take the approach to better nutrition in baby steps to help you be successful long term.
My journey started by committing to the infamous 90 day at-home workout program, P90X®. I know one of the many programs my company has will help you get started on your journey, too.
My main goal for you, whether you're visiting my page for one minute or stay on your journey with me for life, is to develop your self love. Self love is so important, especially for former competitive athletes and teachers that care a lot about their jobs.
Mental health is just as important, if not more important, than physical health. It’s the reason I invested in a life coach as well as a therapist in my late 20s. Follow my journey and join my team to get this same support and guidance on your mental health journey as well.
It's hard to start new goals alone, especially workout and nutrition goals. I needed my husband, Cody, as my accountability partner when I first started my journey. If you don't have a spouse or friend to rely on, that's what me and my team are here for.

Now enrolling: Take Control of Your Life Launch Group 2.0
I know you’ve been creeping on me for awhile wondering what the heck I’m doing with my fit club community, just like our dogs do when I close the door to Michael’s nursery 😂.We are starting enrollment for ROUND 2 of our newest 9 week program that I’ve been sharing in my stories! Here are the deets:.• WHO? • For teachers and mommas who are willing to workout from home because they can’t make it to the gym..• WHAT? • This is a 9 week program with 5 workouts per week, and the workouts are only 18-30 minutes long..• WHERE? • You’ll do the workouts from the comfort of your own home at a time that works for you! How I really felt before having a baby
I was scared of how my life would change once Michael was born..I was going to miss life just being Cody, Sonny, and myself. I was super excited when I found out I was pregnant because it was planned, but towards the end of my pregnancy, I was also mourning what our current life was like. I remember getting teary-eyed a couple of nights, laying on my pillow before falling asleep, just thinking about how different everything would be once a baby came: eating dinner, going to bed, sleeping, EVERYTHING! I was afraid the change might not be good..But change can be good. Well, really it all depends on how you define change. I guess you could also view change as bad. I think change is good though because God will always be there with you while you go through anything. God is always providing for you, too, whether you realize it now or not. And my goodness was this change of having Michael in our lives GOOD!!!.For my mommas out there: were you also scared of how your life would change once baby came?

CHEERS to two more weeks until Christmas 🎄.I’ve never been one to ask for much…my list consisted of an electric toothbrush and nursing sweaters 😂. So Cody usually has to think outside the box and get me something I didn’t ask for. He’s always been very talented at gift giving..What are you asking for for Christmas this year? 🎁
Don’t complicate things
Don’t have time to cook complicated recipes?.Me neither! Over here at the Husak household, we keep things simple and easy. I might be a stay-at-home mom but I have never liked cooking for a long time. If we do, it’s something that can be left in the crock pot, on the stove, or in the oven without me paying attention to it..Some tips for easy, fast, healthy cooking:.✅ frozen veggies are your friend, especially the ones you can steam in the bag in the microwave! Cody and I always split one of these for dinner. Cody likes his plain and I just add a little butter, salt, & pepper to mine.✅ use that crockpot thats collecting dust! Start small with something easy like roast beef.✅ meal prep your breakfasts for the week – I’ve been meaning to do this for my morning oatmeal I have with my eggs because making eggs and oatmeal every morning is a bit much 😆✅ always make more than you need for dinner – save leftovers for lunches or dinner later in the week✅ get a lot of a meat you can use multiple ways, cook it all at once, then separate in containers to […]
I’m often scared to share my journey. . I feel this way because, honestly, all of this does feel easy. Transitioning into motherhood was tough schedule-wise because I felt I was working around Michael’s schedule, but I have still been able to continue my health & fitness journey without skipping a beat once he came into our world ((of course after waiting for the ok to workout 6 weeks postpartum)). A workout might happen at 10 AM or not until 1 PM, but I just get it done. . I worry you’re thinking “oh she has it easy because she’s a stay-at-home mom….she has her husband to help watch her babe sometimes…she used to be a gymnast so she naturally likes working out…” . It’s funny I continue to battle these stories in my head about what people think of me, even though I’ve been working on my mindset for years now! Arlene has been the best coach/mentor I could ask for! For almost a year I’ve learned so much from her in order to change my lifestyle and become a much healthier and happier person. She is SO inspirational and keeps me motivated to make the best decisions for me on even my craziest and most stressful days. I’m incredibly thankful to have her as a coach and friend along this journey!

It’s been fun connecting with Arlene over the past year through health and fitness. We have known each other since… middle school I think? Arlene is a great support and accountability partner. I love Arlene and how incredibly supportive she is! I have been looking for some serious accountability for a while during my fitness journey, and it’s been so hard to find! But she reached out to me and has not given up on me (even when I’m seriously slacking). She always so good about reaching out to simply see how life is going. She interested in just more than tracking my workouts, she’s into the personal side as well!
