Streamline Your Health
Nutrition & Recipes
Abs really are made in the kitchen. Meal planning and prepping used to freak me out, so I know what you are thinking. I take the approach to better nutrition in baby steps to help you be successful long term.
My journey started by committing to the infamous 90 day at-home workout program, P90X®. I know one of the many programs my company has will help you get started on your journey, too.
My main goal for you, whether you're visiting my page for one minute or stay on your journey with me for life, is to develop your self love. Self love is so important, especially for former competitive athletes and teachers that care a lot about their jobs.
Mental health is just as important, if not more important, than physical health. It’s the reason I invested in a life coach as well as a therapist in my late 20s. Follow my journey and join my team to get this same support and guidance on your mental health journey as well.
It's hard to start new goals alone, especially workout and nutrition goals. I needed my husband, Cody, as my accountability partner when I first started my journey. If you don't have a spouse or friend to rely on, that's what me and my team are here for.
Hope, Emily S., Abbey, Emily J., Haley, and Meg are just a few names you'll come to know as your best friends and mentors. I KNOW your name belongs on this list someday!

Teaching is hard
I scoffed during student teaching whenever I heard from other teachers say how hard teaching was.•But boy was I wrong. Who was I kidding!? Teaching IS hard. Sure, it is very rewarding as well. But you and I both know another pencil on the floor after you picked up about 20 off of the floor the other day, another blurt from a student after you’ve reminded them 20 times, sometimes you’ve just HAD it. And now the unknowns with schools opening with Covid…I know my teacher friends are stressed to the max.•And over time, unfortunately this starts to come home with you. It starts to eat you alive. You’re sitting on your couch at home, crying about an incident at school you know was out of your control, but you still feel like it was your fault.•But what if…what if having a group of women support you on your self love journey is exactly what you need to not let another pencil mark on the table drive you bonkers? What if you actually started ENJOYING teaching again just because you decided to help support other women with the struggles you’ve gotten through? What if your mental health improved from joining […]
• You are hard working, no doubt.• You have been through a lot.• You know a lot.• But you’re tired. Exhausted even.• You’re not sure why you’re crying sometimes.• Sometimes it feels like you’re just going through the motions.• You thought you had it all together.• You pull yourself together, kicking yourself for being sad though bc you know you are blessed and should be thankful for where you’re at right now..Did you know all it might take to get out of your funk is to get help? To ask for a little help? And to invest in YOU? It’s ok to ask for help. It’s ok to know a lot but still need some help and support. I was a gymnast for 13 years and thought I knew it all when it came to health & fitness, but I wasn’t even close to taking care of myself post sport..When I told Cody I wanted to do my first home workout program with him my first year of teaching, I was at a pretty low point, like I might’ve described about you above. But all I had to do was ask Cody for help and invest in my own time […]
▪️It helped me commit to getting a life coach.▪️It helped me commit to therapy.▪️It brought me so much confidence and self love.▪️It gave me a community of like-minded women and moms who are positive and always wanting to be better.▪️It gave me a body I love and am in better shape in post-gymnastics.▪️I am a better wife, mom, and teacher because of it.▪️It gives me “me” time to take care of myself, so I can better take care of the ones I love..My family is my “why,” for what I do, coaching is the “how” I am able to do what I do and have done above ⬆️. I’m so grateful my coaching business is still available to me no matter what is going on in my life (especially now as a first time mom!). I can‘t wait to show this little guy what it means to follow your dreams and how much mommy loves cheering others on with their health & fitness goals. ❤️.Drop a “🙋🏻♀️” if you’re looking for a “how” to be a better YOU as a coach on my team. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Michael’s Birth Story Part 5 (the last part!)
I do remember being a little nauseous when they started the c section but then it subsided. I felt some tugging and pressure, but nothing uncomfortable at all. It didn’t take long at all before they raised Michael over the curtain. Cody almost jumped out of his seat to see him and announced “It’s a boy!” And instant tears filled his eyes. I was smiling so big, too. It was the quickest glance, so I guess I didn’t notice him, but later Cody told me how terrified he also was for Michael. He said he was really purple and he didn’t cry right away. I remember hearing Michael cry, not right away, but it didn’t seem like a long time. I also don’t remember Michael looking purple to me. I remember looking over at him under the warmer while they did assessments on him, and I saw his wiggling hands and feet. Even though he stopped crying, I knew he was ok. A huge sigh of relief overcame Cody at that time, I’m sure. They sent my placenta to the lab but I haven’t heard back on any results from it. My midwife said Michael could’ve never engaged into my […]
Michael’s Birth Story Part 4
My eyes opened. I felt AWAKE and more alert. I actually kissed Cody for the first time since being admitted into the hospital. Getting that epidural felt AMAZING. I know I didn’t want one and wanted the natural birth, but I am so glad I got that done if that were to have helped me progress and have Michael vaginally. However, what didn’t even feel like 10 minutes after the epidural, my midwife came back in after talking to the head doctor at my OB practice and decided that a C-section was needed. I was actually really calm about it in the moment and super relieved because there is no way I could keep going with the pain I was in and only being at 4 cm after 34 hours of early labor. Not long after that decision, a room of just my nurse, doula, and Cody quickly became a room full of maybe 10 people. I remember Cody suiting up to be in there with me. I was nervous about all of the numbing medicine they used and how it might feel to be so out of control of my body, but that wasn’t scary at all…it was a […]
Michael’s Birth Story Part 3
The rest of my labor was a doozy, meaning I don’t remember the timeline well of when things happened from after they decided to induce me up until my c section. I was definitely in the zone, the “labor land” I’ve heard most mommas get into. I know my Doula got to the room around 8:30 AM. She help me get in different positions, and relax a lot more, but baby still had some random decelerations after contractions at sometimes, and some positions were worse than others. Since I wasn’t progressing fast enough with the Pitocin, they decided to break my water. This also did not help me progress. This really caused concern to my midwife, enough to mention that this could potentially need to be a C-section. Even when she mentioned this the first time, I was actually relieved. I had a feeling my body wasn’t able to get baby out safely at this point, and I just wanted him here safe. it’s funny my whole pregnancy I wanted to avoid a c section but something inside me felt like that’s what me and baby needed. I didn’t know how bad the decels were, but later Cody told me […]
Arlene has been the best coach/mentor I could ask for! For almost a year I’ve learned so much from her in order to change my lifestyle and become a much healthier and happier person. She is SO inspirational and keeps me motivated to make the best decisions for me on even my craziest and most stressful days. I’m incredibly thankful to have her as a coach and friend along this journey!
Arlene is the most supportive and compassionate person that I know- which makes her an amazingly inspirational coach! She is not afraid to share and is always there to listen. Arlene not only helped me physically, but has been a support for me emotionally as well. I feel lucky to call her a friend.
Arlene is absolutely amazing. She is super supportive, so encouraging, and walks with you through your journey. Her positive attitude draws you in and makes you feel super comfortable. I was able to finally finish and entire workout program, while being encouraged by her, for the first time ever. Thank you Arlene for you time,.effort, support, love, and encouragement
It’s been fun connecting with Arlene over the past year through health and fitness. We have known each other since… middle school I think? Arlene is a great support and accountability partner. She is willing to work with you on your specific goals and meet you where you’re at on your own fitness journey. The support of her group has helped me stick with my plans to achieve my goals!
I love Arlene and how incredibly supportive she is! I have been looking for some serious accountability for a while during my fitness journey, and it’s been so hard to find! But she reached out to me and has not given up on me (even when I’m seriously slacking). She always so good about reaching out to simply see how life is going. She interested in just more than tracking my workouts, she’s into the personal side as well!
