Don’t complicate things

Don’t have time to cook complicated recipes?
Me neither! Over here at the Husak household, we keep things simple and easy. I might be a stay-at-home mom but I have never liked cooking for a long time. If we do, it’s something that can be left in the crock pot, on the stove, or in the oven without me paying attention to it.
Some tips for easy, fast, healthy cooking:
✅ frozen veggies are your friend, especially the ones you can steam in the bag in the microwave! Cody and I always split one of these for dinner. Cody likes his plain and I just add a little butter, salt, & pepper to mine.
✅ use that crockpot thats collecting dust! Start small with something easy like roast beef.
✅ meal prep your breakfasts for the week – I’ve been meaning to do this for my morning oatmeal I have with my eggs because making eggs and oatmeal every morning is a bit much 😆
✅ always make more than you need for dinner – save leftovers for lunches or dinner later in the week
✅ get a lot of a meat you can use multiple ways, cook it all at once, then separate in containers to use for a different meal another day of the week. For example, ground beef. So many ways to use it! We have cooked up enough to save for dinner another day. One night we made spaghetti sauce with it, another night tacos.
